Nashville TN By Neighborhood: A Visitors Guide To Hillsboro Village

Hillsboro Village, located just 3 miles southwest of downtown Nashville on Music City Highway, is a bustling part of town that’s also rich with history. It began as a “streetcar suburb”, originally accessible via street railway line. After WWII, the area experienced a brief decline as the streetcar was replaced by automobiles, but later hit its resurgence and continued to thrive as people once again recognized the value of convenience.

One of Nashville’s most walkable areas, tucked between Vanderbilt and Belmont University, Hillsboro Village is home to dozens of local shops, restaurants, and other neighborhood businesses.
