What’s not to love about happy hour? Time to get off work, do something a little spontaneous (but not too risky) on a weekday with friends, AND saving money on drinks are all prime reasons. Well temporarily that has changed, but here are some of what we like to call the best “to go” happy hours in Nashville. ( And for the record we’re not saying drink and drive) wait til you get home people! Most of you will anyway!
Confused about where to go ? Look no further. We’ve laid out a few of our favorite spots! To make things easy, we’ve categorized our picks by type of establishment-ish. Just go with it.
(Did our experts miss any? Let us know in the comments below!)
Beyond the Edge – They offer discounts 6 days a week, usually switching up from beer brands, 2-for-1s, and other liquor drinks. Their Sunday takes the cake with 2-for-1 beer all day.
The Mainstay – Great location perched just at the edge of East Nashville and walking distance from Nissan Stadium. Discounts on house wine, select drafts, wells, and a $5 East Side Margarita (you’ve been warned). They also host trivia on Wednesdays.
Von Elrod’s – Their happy hour on Tuesday extends all the way until 11pm, making it the perfect spot to take in a Nashville MLS game.
Artisanal Cocktail Clubs
Hemingway’s Bar & Hideaway – This cute bar in WeHo has discounts on drafts, wine, $10 cocktails & $5 well drinks until 6pm on weekdays.
Walden – Whisk yourself away to a secret garden in Inglewood from 3pm – 7pm on weekdays.
Avo – Discounts on their avocado margarita AND vegan tapas readily available? It’s healthy! Sort of.
Frothy Monkey – Until 7:00pm most days (varies by location). An unusual choice to have an alcoholic beverage, but still maintains its chill daytime coffee shop vibe.
Tin Roof – Both locations (Demonbreun and Broadway) offer happy hour till 7pm.
Noble’s Kitchen & Beer Hall – All weekdays from 2-7pm and include $4 well drinks, $1 off house wines, cans & bottled beer, and half priced drafts.
Tavern – One of the best places to see and be seen in Midtown, Tavern’s weekend brunch happy hour (2-for-1 libations) doesn’t disappoint. They also have an evening happy hour on Wednesdays with 2-for-1 select drinks for the after-work crowd.
The Nations Bar & Grill – Get dinner at this essential Nations spot before 7pm to enjoy 2-for-1 beers, house wine, shooters, and well liquor.
Barcelona Wine Bar – An obvious choice given the name. At Barcelona, they call it “Social Hour” and offer discounts on wine, sangria, sherry, and tapas. All you need!
Tennessee Brew Works – Go on a Monday or Wednesday to reap the benefits of discounted beers. Wednesday sees 2-for-1s!
The Hop Yard at Fat Bottom – The yard is a great setting to meet large groups outdoors, plus it’s dog friendly. Their happy hour offers 2-for-1s on select drafts.
Hops & Crafts – Their aptly named “Hoppy” Hour includes $1 off all pints. They also have “Tennessee Tuesdays” where all beers brewed in Tennesse are half off (pints only).
3 Crow Bar – $1 off all drinks at this Five Points spot. The great appeal (to some) is the allowance to smoke inside.
The Crying Wolf – They have great combo deals on drinks and their famous sliders. Plus, they have $5 well shots all day, every day, so it’s always a happy hour at the Wolf.
Tenn Sixteen – Their happy hour (till 7:00pm on weekdays) doesn’t discriminate – it’s simply $1 off all alcoholic beverages.
